Four Arrested for Retail Burglary
San Mateo Police Department officers arrest four people after they stole $3,500 in fragrances from Sephora.
San Mateo, CA – On August 27, 2023, at 2:35 p.m., San Mateo Police Department successfully apprehended four individuals involved in a recent retail burglary. The suspects were taken into custody on charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Officers received a 911 call from Sephora Loss Prevention officers stating three suspects just stole multiple bottles of fragrances and ran out of the store. The suspects got into a car waiting for them in the parking lot of the mall and fled the scene. The Loss Prevention officer was able to provide police with the license plate and description of the get-away car.
The vehicle was located by officers attempting to merge onto Highway 101. Officers made a traffic stop and detained four people inside the car. After a thorough investigation, officers recovered 26 bottles of fragrances, valued at $3,509.13. The suspects were identified as, Andre Beckosteen-Mixon, Christopher Range, a 17-year-old female juvenile, and a 13-year-old male juvenile. All four suspects were arrested. Mixon and Range were booked into San Mateo County Jail.

Christopher Range, an 18-year-old Carmichael resident.
Charges: 460(b) PC- Second degree burglary. 182(a)(1) PC- Conspiracy to commit a crime. 272 PC- Contribute to the delinquency of a minor.
17-year-old female Yuba City juvenile.
Charges: 460(b) PC- Second degree burglary. 182(a)(1) PC- Conspiracy to commit a crime.
13-year-old male San Mateo juvenile.
Charges: 460(b) PC- Second degree burglary. 182(a)(1) PC- Conspiracy to commit a crime.
