Weekend Weapon Incident

| The Sheboygan Police Department is investigating an incident from the weekend involving firearms. The incident occurred on Sunday evening when the police department received several calls from the public about a man firing a weapon in the 1000 block on N. 16th St. Sheboygan. Officers arrived and the man retreated into the residence. Officers created a perimeter and were able to convince the man to exit the residence and surrender. Officers noted that the man was displaying signs of intoxication. Officers interviewed several neighbors and the investigation determined that multiple rounds had been fired. Officers recovered several firearms from the residence. The man was arrested and charges were referred to the District Attorney’s Office. This incident is considered isolated with no ongoing threat to the public, and no injuries were reported. Investigators are actively pursuing leads, and anyone with additional information regarding either incident is asked to contact the Sheboygan Police Department at 920-459-3333.
