TROPICAL STORM IDALIA UPDATE #05 | 8/28/23 7:30PM -A HURRICANE WARNING is now in effect. This means hurricane conditions are possible within the warned area over the next 48 hours. -Home preparations should be completed quickly. -Information on shelters will be released tomorrow morning at 10AM. -High Springs Public Works will re-open sandbag operations at Memorial Park, 17380 NW US Hwy 441 tomorrow from 7AM-7PM. Limit 10 bags per person. Please bring your own shovels. Limited staff may be available to assist, but please treat it as self-serve. -Garbage collection will run as scheduled tomorrow. Wednesday service is suspended until Thursday, when both Wednesday and Thursday will be picked up. NO yard debris will be picked up this week. Storm debris collection will be communicated at a later date.
