Activity for August 28, 2023:
- Officers were dispatched to 73 calls for service, conducted 10 traffic stops, and made 3 arrests.
- Officer Baker and other officers were sent to the 1200 block of Heather Ln. for a shooting. A 19-year-old male was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
- Officer Goings took a report of a vehicle stolen from Bennett St.
- Officer Goings was sent to the area of Steward and Trail for a subject on the train tracks. Ultimately the 32-year-old male was taken into custody for Resisting & Obstructing, Trespassing, and an outstanding warrant.
- Officer Bean was sent to the 700 block of Pleasant for a welfare check on a subject. He located a 55-year-old male deceased in the residence.
- Officer Goings arrested a 49-year-old male on and outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Goings was sent to the 700 block of Williams for a domestic situation. A 50-year-old male suspect was identified, however he had left prior to officers’ arrival.
- Officer Erwin was dispatched to the 300 block of Steward for a male subject yelling for help. A 64-year-old male was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
- JPD officers were assisting the Blackman Township Department of Public Safety with an incident in the 100 block of Dettman Rd. While there, Officer Erwin arrested a 56-year-old male with an outstanding warrant.
