SUMMARY: On Friday, August 25, 2023, deputies from the Morongo Basin Station Multiple Enforcement Team (M.E.T.) and the Sheriff's Gangs and Narcotics Division, served a search warrant at a residence in the 50000 Block of Golden Bee Drive, in the town of Yucca Valley. During the execution of the warrant, deputies located a large indoor marijuana cultivation operation. Recovered during this warrant was a significant quantity of marijuana plants, finished product, chemicals, and other items related to the illegal cultivation of marijuana. This investigation is ongoing.
The Morongo Basin Station M.E.T. is a specialized unit at the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station within the Criminal Investigations Division. M.E.T. is responsible for conducting complex, proactive investigations throughout the Morongo Basin, which includes the town of Yucca Valley and the city of 29 Palms. Deputies assigned to M.E.T. are tasked with investigating more egregious criminal offenses that directly impact the safety, security, and quality of life of the residents and within the region.
