REMINDER: Planned Road Closure for Niles Canyon Stroll & Roll on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 4:00am to 4:00pm.

The Niles Canyon Stroll & Roll is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 8am to 2pm with a 7am start for only cyclists.

A stretch of Niles Canyon Road will be closed on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from approximately 4:00 a.m. and is expected to reopen by 4:00 p.m. The road is closed to vehicular traffic and will remain open to bicyclists and pedestrians.

  • Fremont Side: Road will be closed at Old Canyon Road and Niles Canyon Road
  • Sunol Side: Road will be closed at Main Street and Niles Canyon Road, and at Main Street and the Westbound On Ramp to SR-84
  • Palomares: Road will be closed on Niles Canyon Road and Palomores Road

  • Free Parking at Fremont Side:
    • Fremont BART - 2000 Bart Way, Fremont, CA 94536
    • Quarry Lakes (limited parking) - 2100 Isherwood Way, Fremont, CA 94536
  • Free Parking at Sunol Side: ​
    • SFPUC Lot - 11600 Pleasanton Sunol Road, Sunol, CA 94586
  • Shuttles to and from the event, with a stop at the Niles Town Plaza, are available only on the Niles/Fremont side at Fremont BART and Quarry Lakes. Shuttles will run every 15 min starting from 7:30 a.m.

As with all special events, Fremont Police Department asks attendees to please refrain from bringing backpacks and large bags into the area. All bags are subject to search. In addition, UAVs (drones) will not be permitted to fly over the event.

During all events, always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious activities. We ask: If You See Something, Say Something. If you see suspicious behavior or situations, do not confront the individuals involved.
