1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (0804) 500 Block of Zephyr Street, Park District
The male victim, 41, and the suspect were in an argument during which the suspect hit the victim with an object, causing injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury. Officers located the suspect and arrested him without incident. Officers also located an illegal firearm during the search. ARRESTED: Dustin Sherman, 43, for assault with a deadly weapon and weapon charges.

2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1226) Center Street and Weber, Civic District
The male victim, 52, observed the suspect arguing with another citizen and intervened. The suspect pulled out a weapon and swung at the victim, causing non-life-threatening injury. The suspect fled the area and was apprehended by the responding officers. The victim was treated at the scene and released. ARRESTED:
Ernest Mack, 20, for assault with a deadly weapon.

3. Weapon Arrest (1415) 600 Block of East Alpine Avenue, Civic District
Officers located a wanted suspect and tried to arrest him. The suspect fled from the officers and discarded a loaded firearm. Officers apprehended the suspect after a brief foot chase and recovered the firearm. ARRESTED: Kenneth Benton, 29, for weapon charges and an outstanding warrant.
