Grand Ave between Second Ave and the one lane underpass is tentatively scheduled to be paved on Thursday, August 31, 2023. The work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions.
Important Information:
Grand Ave will be closed between Frist Ave and the one lane underpass.
Rockport Road will also be closed at Allen Road in Mansfield Township.
Side streets in the area will be closed.
Anyone needing access to a residence or a business between First Ave and the one lane underpass must speak to an officer or DPW worker at either end of the road closure and they will advise you on how to enter.
Anyone that usually accesses Centenary University off of Grand Ave must enter off of Reese Ave.
Anyone that lives on Robins Court is encouraged to park on Fifth Ave.
Anyone that lives on Grand Ave between Robins Ct and the one lane underpass is encouraged to park on College View Dr.
Anyone that lives or has a business on Fourth Ave or on Grand Ave between Second Ave and Fourth Ave is encouraged to park at the Tannery field. If parked at the Tannery Field, you must exit and enter through Centenary University’s rear gate (Reese Ave).
There will be times that access to Grand Ave is very limited. Plan alternate route and expect delays in the area.
If you plan on using your vehicle during the paving, please remove your vehicle from your driveway by 6:30 a.m. and park in one of the designated areas.
