Investigation found that on the evening of July 6th, Rhasheda Edgerton entered the market where she selected and bagged merchandise, food, and liquor, and also placed cases of beer into her cart. Edgerton then left the market without paying for any of the items, went to her car and loaded it with all of the stolen goods. Later that evening, Edgerton returned to the market with two bags of refrigerated goods (valued at $280.90) she had shoplifted earlier. She told the staff that she could not find her car keys, and needed them to put her bags into cold storage. At that point in time, the store did not know Edgerton had shoplifted from them and accommodated her request. The next day, July 7th, Edgerton returned to the store, loaded a shopping cart full of goods valued at $687.31, reclaimed her two bags of refrigerated goods which she put into a second cart, and once again left without paying for anything. Unfortunately for her, Asset Protection took notice this second time. Officers found Edgerton inside Target with her two shopping carts full of stolen goods. Ptl. Cherko located Edgerton’s gray Chevrolet SUV in the parking lot. Inside of it was over $500.00 worth of additional goods from the shoplifting the night before. Edgerton was also found to be a “Wanted Person” out of Pennsylvania, and had warrants for her arrest from Bellmawr, Clementon, and Manalapan.
