INCIDENT: CVC 4463(A)(1) - Forge/Alter Vehicle Registration
LOCATION: Needles Hwy and Q Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Eleazar Acosta, 28-Years-Old, Resident of Los Angeles, CA
VICTIM(S): The State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at approximately 11:35 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department contacted Eleazar Acosta during a traffic enforcement stop near Needles Hwy and Q Street in the city of Needles, CA. Upon contact, Acosta exited his vehicle and led deputies on a short foot pursuit where he was quickly apprehended. Acosta was found to be in violation of CVC 4463(A)(1) - Forging/Altering Vehicle Registration.
Acosta was consequently arrested on the above charges and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Acosta remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
