On 8/30/2023 at 0419 hours, Simi Valley officers were dispatched to an armed robbery with shots fired in the 5100 block of Los Angeles Ave.

Once on scene, officers learned the victim was sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot when he was approached by two Hispanic male adults. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded all of his property. During the robbery, the victim was struck in the head with the firearm, which discharged a round into the victim's vehicle. The victim sustained a laceration to the back of his head, and officers located a bullet hole through the passenger door of his vehicle.
