INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: Oak Road / Agate Road, Lenwood
SUSPECT(S): Brian Pipping, 47-year-old Barstow resident
VICTIM(S): Shaun Milazzo, 30-year-old Barstow resident
SUMMARY: On August 3, 2023, deputies with the Barstow Sheriff’s Station responded to a shots heard call in the area of Oak Road and Agate Road, in Lenwood. Deputies discovered the victim, Shaun Milazzo, had been shot multiple times and was transported to Barstow Community Hospital in a private vehicle.
Through investigation, 47-year-old Brian Pipping was identified as the suspect. On August 17, 2023, the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division located Pipping in Barstow. Pipping was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder.
Milazzo remained in the hospital and on August 29, 2023, was pronounced deceased. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, assumed the investigation. Pipping remains in custody and will be supplementally booked for PC 187-Murder.
