Full Notification

During the evening hours of August 30th, Simi Valley Police Department Officers responded to a report of a neighbor in front of a house in the 2800 block of Alamo St with a concealed firearm.  Officers were informed that a neighbor dispute occurred between the residents of two houses.  One of the residents, Kenneth Bright 79 years-old, reportedly brandished a pistol in self-defense after one of the other residents threatened bodily harm.  Bright then walked off his property with the pistol concealed on his person.

The pistol and other firearms were surrendered to officers and it was determined there was no continued threat to the public.  Bright was arrested, cited and released for misdeanor weapons charges to include carrying a concealed firearm in a public place.
