INCIDENT: Warrant Sweep
LOCATION: City of Twentynine Palms, CA
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station conducted a warrant sweep in the city of Twentynine Palms. The goal of the operation was to locate and arrest subjects with outstanding warrants for various crimes.
The operation led to the arrest of 8 subjects in Twentynine Palms. These arrests included charges related to outstanding warrants and new charges to include, resisting a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrestees were either booked at the Morongo Basin Jail or cite-released, depending on charges alleged against them.
The Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station will continue to carry out proactive operations within the Morongo Basin to improve the quality of life for residents. We encourage the public to contact the Sheriff's Department with any pertinent information regarding law enforcement investigations. Information from the public provided via we-tip and other avenues of reporting are extremely helpful to our operations and previously assisted in numerous investigations.
