Women’s RAD class registration now open:
The Marietta Police Department is dedicated to protecting its citizens in every way possible.
While our focus is on finding ways to fight and prevent crime, we are also dedicated in finding ways to educate the public.
Marietta Police Department is now offering a 12-hour Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class. R.A.D. is a simple yet effective self-defense course for women only. The techniques are designed to be quick and effective in delivering pain to vulnerable locations on the attacker’s body. The course is designed so that women of all fitness levels and ages will successfully learn options to escape attacks. R.A.D. is a twelve-hour course, delivered over 4-three-hour classes. 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞.

Must be 14 years of age (parent or female guardian must attend with anyone 16 and under); no jewelry is allowed during class. Gym attire is recommended.
