INCIDENT: Commercial Burglary / Possession of Brass Knuckles / Parole Violation / Conspiracy
LOCATION: 15300 block of Valencia Avenue, unincorporated Fontana
VICTIM: Confidential
SUSPECT: Justin Dahmen, a 38-year-old male resident of Rancho Cucamonga
George Rodriguez, a 43-year-old male resident of Rancho Cucamonga
SUMMARY: On Monday, September 4, 2023, at about 4:00 a.m., deputies responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 15300 block of Valencia Avenue, unincorporated Fontana. Upon arrival, deputies checked several businesses for signs of a burglary and found obvious signs that one was broken into. The suspects, later idenitifed as Justin Dahmen and George Rodriguez, were found inside and refused to exit the business.
Additional personnel from the Rancho Cucamonga Station and Fontana Police Department assisted. A canine from the Fontana Police Department was deployed and located the suspects hiding inside.
Both suspects were arrested without further incident. Burglary tools and stolen property staged to allow for easier theft were located.
A records check revealed Rodriguez is on parole for Penal Code 212.5- Residential Robbery. A vehicle used during the commission of the crime was located nearby and found to have additional burglary tools and brass knuckles, which could be used to injure another person, inside the vehicle. Both suspects were booked into the West Valley Detention Center for felony charges and Rodriguez is being held without bail for violation of parole.
