On September 4, 2023 at approximately 1800 hours, Simi Valley Police Department Officers responded to a radio call of a Hit and Run and the victim was following the subject. When Officers located the involved partiies, they conducted a traffic stop on the subject vehicle. The subject exited his vehicle and started charging the officers. The officers were able to gain control of the subject and detain him. The subject was identified as Simi Valley resident Joe Fisher (77 years old). 
After speaking with the victim, it was determined the victim and Fisher were involved in some type of argument/road rage incident in the parking lot of Albertson's on Madera Road. During the incident, Fisher stopped his vehicle in front of the victim's vehicle and then accelerated backwards into the front of the victm's vehicle. Fisher then drove away while the victim followed him and contacted police. While followiing Fisher and awaiting police arrival, Fisher pulled his vehicle beside the victim's vehicle and threatened to kill the victim.
Fisher was ultimately arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon (245 PC), Criminal Threats (422(a) PC), and Resisting Arrest (148(a)(1) PC).
