Activity for September 1 – 4, 2023:
September 1, 2023:
- Officers were dispatched to 74 calls for service, conducted 31 traffic stops, and made 1 arrest.
- Officer Vernier was dispatched to the 300 block of Barberry for a domestic assault. The 18-year-old female suspect left prior to police arrival.
- Officer Bean was sent to the 400 block of Wildwood where he made contact with a 31-year-old male who was transported to the hospital for mental health treatment.
- Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Grinnell for a 5-year-old autistic female who had wandered away from home. Officer Tripp located the child and returned her home.
- Officer Jones was sent to Ella Sharp Park regarding a 16-year-old male on a dirt bike. The juvenile did not have a license or motorcycle endorsement, and the dirt bike was not insured or registered.
- Officer Farnsworth was sent to the 400 block of McKinley for a domestic. The 33-year-old male suspect left the area prior to police arrival.
- Officers were sent to the area of Wisner and Washington for a vehicle stopped at the stop sign for an extended period of time. The 36-year-old male was arrested for OWI, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of Cocaine.
- Officers were dispatched to 72 calls for service, conducted 8 traffic stops, and made 5 arrests.
- Officer Vernier was sent to the 400 block of Fourth St. for a domestic assault. The 22-year-old male suspect was arrested for the assault.
- Officer Goings was sent to the South Central Federal Credit Union on Monroe St. to investigate a fraud.
- Officers Goble, Kuhn, and Vernier attended a neighborhood back to school event.
- Officer Erwin responded to the area of State and Leroy for a possibly intoxicated subject. The 61-year-old male was arrested for OWI and Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated. PBT was 0.278.
- Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Michigan Ave. for a subject throwing rocks at people downtown. A 14-year-old male was taken into custody.
- Officer Tripp was dispatched to the 100 block of Gorham for a domestic situation. A 24-year-old male was arrested for violating a PPO.
- Sergeant Burkart conducted a traffic stop near Michigan Ave. and Dettman. The 51-year-old driver was arrested for OWI; PBT was 0.195.
- Officer Farnsworth went to the 900 block of Wisner for a suspicious situation at the Citgo.
- Officers attended the Labor Day fireworks; there were no reported incidents.
- Officers were dispatched to 69 calls for service, conducted 43 traffic stops, and made 2 arrests.
- Sergeant Hibbard monitored a protest at High and Milwaukee; there were no major issues.
- Officers Bean, Kuhn, and Goings conducted foot patrol downtown.
- Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Cypress for a stabbing. While officers were in the area, they arrested a 54-year-old male on outstanding warrants.
- Officer Erwin conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Wildwood. A 39-year-old male was arrested for OWI; PBT=0.228.
- Officer Baker was sent to the 300 block of Johnson St. for a deceased 59-year-old male.
- Officers were sent to Warwick Ct. and the surrounding area several times for disorderly subjects.
- Officers were sent to the area of Greenwood and Biddle for an attempted robbery. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
- Officers were dispatched to 76 calls for service and conducted 10 traffic stops.
- Officer Elston was sent to the 1200 block of Merriman for a domestic assault. The 31-year-old male had left the area prior to police arrival.
- Officer Reasoner was dispatched to the 100 block of Mitchell St. for a deceased 73-year-old male.
- Officer Brooker was dispatched for a 49-year-old deceased subject who passed away in an ambulance en route to the hospital.
- Officer Thoresen was sent to the 100 block of Cortland for an attempted vehicle theft.
- Officers conducted foot patrol downtown.
