* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following areas, Cook, Kankakee and Will.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 555 AM CDT, doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Joliet, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Chicago Heights, Lansing, New Lenox, Munster, Park Forest, Homewood, Matteson, Mokena, Bourbonnais, Frankfort, Bradley, Channahon, Minooka, Steger, Manteno, Wilmington and Peotone. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
