The Huntley Community School District 158 Education Foundation will host the Huntley Hootenanny Glow 5K in the downtown area today. They anticipate over 3,500 attendees. 
 
Please note the following planned road closures that will last through the duration of the event:

All Day

• Coral Street will be closed
• Church Street will be closed from 1^st Street to Main Street

 
Beginning at 5 pm

• Main Street will be closed from Woodstock Street to Church Street

 
Beginning at 6:15 pm

• Main Street will be closed from Route 47 to Haligus Road
• Ruth Road will be closed from Algonquin Road to Main Street
• Dundee-Huntley Road will be closed from Main Street to Haligus Road

All intersections along the route will be closed for the duration of the event (see attached map for event route).
 
All traffic entering/exiting Georgian Place for the duration of the closures must use Evendale Road.
 
While we strive to keep the disruption to residents and motorists at a minimum, the necessary closures will be made to ensure the safety of the event participants.
 
If you are planning to travel in this area on between 5 and 10 pm today, please be aware of the closures, be alert for increased pedestrian activity and consider taking a different route if possible.
