Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports his deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash, on September 06, 2023, at around 19:38 HRS. This crash occurred at the intersection of Daily Rd and Pokagon Hwy, LaGrange Township, County of Cass.
 
Cyrus Wilkes (21 year old of Fort Wayne, IN) was traveling southbound on Dailey Rd. While approaching the intersection of Dailey Rd and Pokagon Hwy, Wilkes failed to yield to another vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Pokagon Hwy. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was Zachary Moore (32 year old of Elkhart, IN). Wilkes was transported by SMCAS, to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital of Dowagiac, for injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Seatbelts were worn and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this crash. Assisting to this incident was Central Cass Fire and SMCAS Ambulance.
