* At 437 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Hopatcong, or 7 miles southeast of Newton, moving northwest at 10 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.
* Locations impacted include... Newton, Dover, Hopatcong, Hackettstown, Wharton, Rockaway, Mount Arlington, Franklin, Stanhope, Hamburg, Netcong, Ogdensburg, Andover, Allamuchy-Panther Valley, Lake Mohawk, Greendell, Lake Telemark, Green Pond, Budd Lake and Succasunna-Kenvil. This includes Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 18 and 38.
