Hazardous weather outlook in effect, flooding possible; Italian Festival NOT cancelled
A hazardous weather outlook remains in effect for northern New Jersey including Hoboken, with the potential for localized flooding.
CORRECTION: The Hoboken Italian Festival remains open. Some scheduled events in Hoboken have been cancelled for the rest of the day due to weather. Please contact event organizers for more information.
The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) reminds residents to exercise caution as any intense rainfall of greater than 0.8 inch per hour could result in flooding in low-lying areas. Residents should avoid flood-prone areas. Do not drive around barricades.
Please report flooded intersections and clogged drain inlets by calling the NHSA Hotline at (866) 689-3970.
Residents should monitor local forecasts for additional advisories, watches, and warnings. Updates will be posted on the Hoboken OEM Twitter page at @HobokenOEM. Residents are also encouraged to monitor the City’s Twitter at @CityOfHoboken and Facebook at facebook.com/hoboken, or sign up to receive email or text updates by visiting www.hobokennj.gov/alerts.
