Watch Commander's Night Report - September 10, 2023



TOTAL CAD CALLS: 1055

1. Weapon Arrest (1658) 1400 Block of South Airport Way, Park District
Officers responded to the area on a report of a family disturbance in a parking lot. Officers detained the suspect inside a vehicle and found him to be in possession of a gun. ARRESTED: Richard Villanueva, 34, for weapons charges and domestic violence.

2. Resisting Arrest (1720) 300 Block of Berkshire Lane, Valley Oak District
Officers responded to a residence on a report of a suspect violating a court order. When officers arrived, the suspect fled on foot. Officers located the suspect nearby and attempted to take him into custody. The suspect resisted officers, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Edmond Wilson, 44, for violating
a court order and resisting arrest.

3. Pursuit Arrest (1755) Hazelton Avenue and Airport Way, Park District
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the listed area. The driver failed to yield and led the officers on a short pursuit. The suspect eventually yielded to officers and was taken into custody. ARRESTED: Jesse Pineda, 19, for traffic charges.

4. Carjacking (0030) Sutter Street and Knoles Way, Civic District
The male victim, 62, was sitting in his vehicle in the area when a dark-colored vehicle drove up to him. Three armed suspects exited the car, approached the victim, and forced him from his vehicle. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle, and the victim heard several gunshots in the area. The victim’s vehicle was later
recovered nearby. SUSPECTS: 3 Black male adults.

5. Persons Shot (0035) 600 Block of East Alpine Avenue, Civic District
Two victims (a nineteen-year-old male and a seventeen-year-old male) were in the area when they were shot. Both victims were transported to an area hospital to treat their non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victims could not provide any suspect information.

6. Resisting Arrest (0132) 400 Block of Jill Circle, Bear Creek District
Officers responded to a report of a prowler and contacted the suspect. The suspect resisted arrest, and tried to pull away from them. The suspect was taken into custody after a brief struggle. ARRESTED: Try Smuth, 44, for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
