Full Notification

As you may be aware, construction has begun near the parking area in C O Johnson Park at the Roseville Tunnel.  To facilitate the excavation of rock, there is a need to perform a limited amount of controlled rock drilling and two rock blasts. The first of two controlled blasts are scheduled to occur tomorrow, Tuesday, September 12, 2023. 
 
This will require the closure of COJ Park for the period of 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Also, there will be minor traffic delays in the area during the blast which will last for a couple of minutes.
 
There will be approximately one week of additional controlled drilling of rock at the tunnel, and then a day will be schedule for the last blasting.  Another notification will be sent the day prior to this scheduled last blasting.
