Flood Advisory until 07:45PM

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Essex, Hudson and Union.

* WHEN...Until 745 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 0.8 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Newark, Elizabeth, Plainfield, Linden, Orange, Summit, Millburn, Harrison, Kearny, Clark, Union, East Orange, Irvington, West Orange, Westfield, Livingston, Rahway, Maplewood, Scotch Plains and Cranford. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
