Flood Warning until 12:15AM Tuesday

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is continuing.

* WHERE...A portion of southern New Hampshire, including the following counties, Hillsborough and Rockingham.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...While the heaviest rain has ended, numerous roads remain closed due to flooding, especially in Nashua and Hollis. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 919 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Several reports of flooding have been received. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Manchester, Nashua, Derry, Merrimack, Bedford, Milford, Hooksett, Amherst and Litchfield, Hollis, and Brookline.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HILLSBOROUGH, NH ... ROCKINGHAM, NH

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
