INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery
LOCATION: 20801 Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Edgar Gonzalez Barajas, 37-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Friday, September 8, 2023, at approximately 9:57 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to Food 4 Less at 20801 Bear Valley Road. Food 4 Less employees called 911 regarding a subject attempting to leave the store without paying for items.
Deputies W. Eisenbrey, J. Chapdelain, and D. Ramires responded to the area and were advised by dispatch the subject had left the store after pushing an employee to the ground. Deputy Ramires located a subject matching the description of the suspect.
The suspect, later identified as Edgar Gonzalez Barajas, was arrested, and transported to High Desert Detention Center where he was booked on charges of robbery. Gonzalez Barajas is currently being held in lieu of $60,000 bail.
