If someone comes to your door claiming to be from Fremont Police Department and requesting that you renew your alarm permit, it may be a scam. We have recently been made aware of suspicious behavior in which a person might knock on your door and alert you that your alarm permit is expired, or ask to verify that your alarm permit is valid. This is a scam! FPD does not go door-to-door requesting alarm permit verification or renewal.
