The Thousand Oaks Police Department in conjunction with the Conejo Recreation and Park District are proud to announce the first cohort of the Thousand Oaks Police Service (TOPS) Unit. This program was designed to provide community service opportunities to adults with special needs that live within the City of Thousand Oaks. It also provides an opportunity for direct interaction between the participants in the program and law enforcement. Funds for this program are provided through the generous support of the Thousand Oaks Police Charitable Foundation. Anyone wishing to provide donations to support the TOPS Unit can do so through the website https://topcf.us/ Each cohort will be supervised and trained by members of the Thousand Oaks Police Department and Conejo Recreation and Park District. The program will meet over the course of 9 months with alternating training sessions and community service projects.
