Flood Advisory until 11:30AM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Fisher, Jones, Nolan and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 824 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen, mainly along and north of I-20. Expect street flooding and ponding of water on roads. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Western Abilene, Sweetwater, Merkel, Tye, Hawley, Trent, Noodle, Dyess Afb, Stith and Hodges. - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 248 and 279. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... IH 20 frontage roads crossing Sweetwater Creek, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Bitter Creek, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Plum Creek, crossings along County Road 349, County Road 387 crossing Little Bitter Creek, crossings along County Road 335, CO Rd. 444 crossing Noodle Creek, crossings along County Road 410, County Road 221 crossing Little Stink Creek and crossings along County Road 400. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
