Mark Randle was safely taken into custody tonight in the Sacramento area for the disappearance and homicide of Erica Brown with the immense support from the Sacramento Police Department’s Career Criminal Apprehension Team and Sacramento County Sheriff’s office S.W.A.T Unit.
Detectives from the Fairfield police Department have been passionately working around the clock to locate Ms. Brown and help bring closure for Ms. Brown’s family, friends and loved ones.
Erica Brown, was reported missing to police on August 25, 2023 and was last seen at her Fairfield home on August 20.
Information provided and gathered by detectives leads us to believe Ms. Brown is no longer alive.
We extend our deepest condolences to Erica’s family and friends during this difficult time and are committed to bringing Mark Randle to justice.

Press Release Update Aug 31, 2023: Arrest Warrant Issued for Mark Randle Following Disappearance of Erica Brown
Erica Brown, who was reported missing to police on August 25, was last seen at her Fairfield home on August 20.
Information provided to detectives leads them to believe Ms. Brown is no longer alive.
Although we hoped to safely return Ms. Brown to those who care for her, we felt from the outset that her disappearance was suspicious in nature, and have treated it as such. Our officers and detectives have been diligently working behind the scenes to resolve this case.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Mark Randle, Erica’s former partner, who lived with her at the time of her disappearance.
We extend our deepest condolences to Erica’s family and friends during this difficult time and are committed to bringing Mark Randle to justice.
Randle is 45-years-old, with strong ties to Fairfield and Vallejo, and also goes by “Tweezy”, “Tweez” and Mark Twain.
