OEM reminds residents of preparedness tools; First Street Sundays continue

Be Hoboken Ready

The City of Hoboken, the Hoboken Public Safety Department, and the Office of Emergency Management continue to monitor Hurricane Lee, currently a category one storm churning in the Atlantic Ocean.

While the storm is currently not expected to hit New Jersey directly and does not pose any immediate or major threat to Hoboken,  residents are encouraged to use this time to review personal emergency plans, as the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season continues through November 30. Residents and property owners can access the “Hoboken Ready” website for more information and resources to better prepare for emergency situations at: https://www.hobokennj.gov/resources/hoboken-ready.

Residents are advised to monitor local forecasts regularly and are encouraged to follow the City’s social media accounts for storm updates including the Hoboken OEM Twitter page at @HobokenOEM, the City’s Twitter page at @CityofHoboken, and the Hoboken Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/Hoboken. Residents, business owners, and other stakeholders are also encouraged to sign up to receive updates via the Nixle System by visiting: www.hobokennj.gov/alerts.
