Full Notification

Around noon on 09-15-2023, the Vigo County Sheriff's Office, Riley Fire Department, Honey Creek Fire Department, Clay County Sheriff's Office, Indiana State Police, and Transcare responded to the area of Louisville Road south of Woodsmall Drive in reference to a motor vehicle accident rollover with entrapment. Crews arrived to find a Chevrolet Impala being driven by Jeanne Dayhuff of Lewis, IN. Jeanne was uninjured, seat belted into the car, but unable to get out on her own. The Riley Fire Department was able to extricate Jeanne. Jeanne was checked out by Transcare and signed a signature of release form. Jeanne was traveling south bound on Louisville Road stating that she was tired and believed she fell asleep. Jeanne's vehicle traveled across the north bound lane and off the roadway where it struck trees & shrubs before rolling over. No citations were issued. Drugs & alcohol were not a factor.
