Newark Public Safety Director Fragé Joins Ironbound Business Improvement District’s Announcement To Curb Illegal Dumping 
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, alongside Deputy Mayor and Director of Economic and Housing Development Allison Ladd, East Ward Council Member Michael Silva, and 3rd Precinct Commanders Captain M. Alexandre and Executive Officer S. Martin, joined the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID) in announcing its two surveillance cameras placed in the East Ward to identify individuals committing illegal dumping.
IBID was awarded a Neighborhood Investment Improvement Grant from the City of Newark to install two Live View Technologies (LVT) mobile surveillance technology units in the Ironbound District. The first unit has been deployed at Peter Francisco Park. The second unit is currently deployed at the Five Corners intersection.
Vince Baglivo, the IBID’s Executive Director, thanked Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Deputy Mayor Ladd for their leadership in helping business and special improvement districts throughout the city by making funds available to support economic development and quality of life initiatives.
