INCIDENT: Deputies Interrupt Robbery in Progress
LOCATION: Foothill Boulevard and Hemlock Avenue, Fontana
VICTIM: Adult Female
SUSPECT: Bryan Bennett, age 57, a transient who frequents Fontana
SUMMARY: On Friday, September 15, 2023, at about 10:15 a.m., the Fontana Station Watch Commander observed a male adult about to punch a female on the northwest corner of Foothill Boulevard and Hemlock Avenue, Fontana.
Through investigation, deputies determined Bryan Bennett, a 57-year-old male transient who frequents Fontana, did not know the victim. For unknown reasons, he demanded her property and, when she wouldn’t give it to him, suddenly punched her in the head multiple times in an attempt to steal her items. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical care. Bennett was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for robbery.
