911 report of disturbance leads to arrest of Oakland City man on a battery charge. 
On Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1:11 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of a disturbance in the 600 block of South State Road 57 near Oakland City. Deputy Wyatt Hunt and Sergeant John Fischer of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office as well as Oakland City Officer Michael McGregor were dispatched and upon arriving on scene they began an investigation into the incident. At the conclusion of their investigation Deputy Wyatt Hunt placed 51 year old Dale Sandy into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Battery. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
