***UPDATE 8:00AM***Negotiators attempted to make contact with the suspect by phone with no success. SWAT utilized a drone and introduced chemical agent into the residence, and were able to determine the suspect was not in the home. The situation has been resolved and normal traffic can resume in the area.

***ALERT***On September 17th at 2:38 AM, APD officers were called to a residence in the 4300 block of S. Polk on a wanted/barricaded male. The Amarillo Police Department Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been called to the scene. The 4300 block of S. Polk has been blocked off. Please avoid the area at this time. We will update when the area is clear and the situation has been resolved.
