Princeton man arrested on DUI charge. 
On September 18, 2023, at 1:10 a.m. Sergeant Loren Barchett conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Mercedes Benz for speeding on US 41 near Fort Branch. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Barchett detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver 45 year old Jerry Preshon of Princeton. At that point Sgt. Barchett began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Sgt. Barchett transported Mr. Preshon to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $450 bond.
Assisting Sgt. Barchett in his investigation was Deputy Bart Wagner.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
