Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery.
On August 19, at approximately 7:12 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 400 block of Delaware Avenue, in reference to an armed robbery. The case was assigned to Detective Brendan Shea of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Shea identified 42-year-old Dwayne Randolph as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. On September 11, Randolph was taken into custody by members of the Uniformed Services Division without incident.
Randolph has been charged with the following offenses:
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $45,000 cash-only bail.
