September 15, 2023:

  • Officer Vernier responded to the Courthouse for a warrant pick-up. A 24-year-old male was arrested on several outstanding warrants.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Steward Avenue for a threats report. Charges will be sought on a 42-year-old male for filing a false police report.
  • Officer Kuhn visited Hunt School.
  • Officer Simon and Officer Tripp responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of West Mason Street. A 50-year-old male was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant out of Lenawee County; he was turned over to Lenawee County deputies.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Steward Avenue for a malicious destruction of property report. A 32-year-old female at the scene was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officers responded to the 1100 block of East Ganson Street for juveniles breaking into vehicles in the area. Larceny charges will be sought on a 16-year-old male and a 14-year-old male.
  • Officer Justice made contact with a subject near Cooper Street and Homewild Avenue. A 56-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Schram assisted JFD with a structure fire in the 100 block of Mitchell Street. The investigation is ongoing.
September 16, 2023:
  • Officers attended the Hispanic Heritage Festival downtown.
  • Officer Brooks responded to East Michigan Avenue and Page Avenue for a traffic crash.
  • Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop near East Washington Avenue and South Mechanic Street. The 32-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Louis Glick Highway for a personal welfare check. A 48-year-old male was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant out of Ingham County; he was turned over to Ingham County deputies.
  • Officers attended the Fall Fest at the Grand River Brewery.
  • Officers conducted liquor inspections downtown.
September 17, 2023:
  • Officer Kuhn responded to the 1000 block of Cooper Street for a larceny report. A firearm was entered into the national database as stolen.
  • Officers attended the walk for Huntington’s Disease downtown.
  • Officers were dispatched to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East High Street for a subject being assaulted. A 33-year-old female was arrested for domestic assault, and resisting and obstructing.
