INCIDENT TYPE: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

DETAILS: On Monday, September 18, 2023, at 11:39PM, Officers were sent to a residence in the 100 block of S. Carolina in reference to a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they located two people inside the residence, one of which had been shot multiple times. The injured male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses reported they saw three males running from the scene and leaving in a dark colored sedan. The case is being investigated by the Violent Crimes Unit.
