1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0608) East Harding Way and North Pilgrim Street, Park District

The male victim, 42, was sleeping in the area when the suspect approached him. The suspect asked the victim for a cigarette and left. The suspect returned with a firearm a short time later and hit the victim with it. The victim sustained a minor injury and refused medical attention. SUSPECT: Black male adult, wearing all dark clothing.

2. Weapon Arrest (1141) Fremont Street and Queen Avenue, Civic District

Officers conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle in the listed area. During the stop, officers located a loaded firearm inside the vehicle. ARRESTED: Raheem Hankins, 21, for weapon charges.
