Habitual Traffic Violator arrested during traffic stop.
On September 20, 2023 at 10:43 p.m. Deputy Logan Lashbrook conducted a traffic stop on a Yellow 2004 Nissan XTE on Broadway and West Street in Princeton. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Lashbrook identified the driver as 47 year old Juan Martinez of Princeton. During a roadside investigation Deputy Lashbrook ran Mr. Martinez through the Indiana Data And Communications System and discovered that Mr. Martinez was a Habitual Traffic Violator. At that point Deputy Lashbrook placed Mr. Martinez into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While a Habitual Traffic Violator. He remains in custody on a $750 bond.
Assisting Deputy Lashbrook in his investigation was Princeton Officer Matthew Perry.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
