Deputy Jordan Cox with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 56-year-old Vicky Ballard McKinney with felonious Possession of Methamphetamine and Breaking or Entering. McKinney was issued a $2,500 secured bond.
On September 6th, deputies noticed unusual activity at a vacant residence on Jacktown Rd. Due to prior calls regarding breaking or entering at this residence, they contacted the renter who confirmed there should have been no one in or at the residence. McKinney was located inside and taken into custody. A search of McKinney’s belongings turned up methamphetamine.
