This is an update to the ongoing River St and Ann St Reconstruction and Water Main Replacement project.
On Thursday, September 21st beginning at approximately 7:30 am the contractor will be connecting the new water main on River St. to the existing water main at #85 River Street. Residents on River Street from Wilcox Ave. to Parish Ave. will be without water until approximately 12:30 pm.
Once water is restored, water users may experience a brief change in water color and/or pressure. This is a common, temporary occurrence and is not a cause for alarm.
It is recommended to avoid this area if all possible. Temporary barricades and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic safely through the work zones. Please exercise extreme caution and obey all signs and flaggers.
The City will issue periodic project updates or changes via Nixle PSA as needed.
