UPDATE: The Tillamook Head trail and parking lot on the south end of Seaside has reopened to the public following a fire investigation and response by Seaside Fire & Rescue. The reported fire on Tillamook Head was located and supressed. The scene has been turned over to the Oregon Department of Forestry and they will continue to monitor the situation.

ORIGINAL NOTICE: Please avoid the trailhead on the Seaside side of Tillamook Head due to a fire investigation and smoke seen in the area. Emergency personnel are on the scene and investigating. No current threat to homes or the public exists, but trail access is restricted to emergency personnel only as the investigation continues. Thank you for your cooperation.
