SUSPECT(S): Adrian Matthews, 22-year old resident of Chino Hills
VICTIM(S): People of the State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 21, 2023, at approximately 4:39 p.m., Chino Hills deputies observed a suspicious vehicle in the 2100 block of Scenic Ridge Drive. The occupant of the vehicle, later identified as Adrian Matthews, fled in the car as deputies attempted contact. Deputies pursued Matthews, eastbound on Scenic Ridge Drive, toward Chino Hills Parkway. Deputies utilized a Pursuit Intervention Technique to end the vehicle pursuit. The suspect vehicle drove over a dirt embankment and stopped in a ravine off Scenic Ridge Drive. Matthews was taken into custody without incident.
Matthews was arrested for C.V.C. 2800.2 Felony Evading and C.V.C. 23152(f) Driving Under the Influence of Drugs. Matthews was booked at West Valley Detention Center.
