Flood Advisory until 06:15AM Friday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Cherokee and Crawford. Portions of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Barton, Cedar, Dade, Jasper and Lawrence.

* WHEN...Until 615 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1206 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Muddy Creek at Highway 126, Sinking Creek at County Road 181, Dry Fork at Pine Road, Sons Creek at County Road 113, Spring River at County Road 2110 and Lousy Branch at County Road 85. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northern Joplin, Carthage, Mount Vernon, Lamar, Greenfield, Webb City, Carl Junction, Oronogo, Carterville, Lockwood, Jasper, Golden City, Miller, Alba, Purcell, Mindenmines, Everton, Airport Drive, Nashville, Carytown, Dadeville, Stotts City, Asbury, Neck City, Lamar Heights, Avilla, La Russell, Brooklyn Heights, Reeds, South Greenfield, Waco, Irwin, Hoberg, Arcola, Milford, Dudenville, Maple Grove, Meinert, Kenoma and Red Oak. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
