TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Weekend Rain and Thunderstorms May Produce Flooding 
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. FragĂ© reports that due to this weekend’s anticipated heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, many streets may be flooded and should be avoided by drivers.
Rain is expected to begin after 5 a.m. tomorrow with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. Rain will continue into Saturday night with rain and a possible thunderstorm on Sunday.
The listed locations should be avoided by drivers due to the potential for flooding.
The Department of Public Safety is coordinating responses to burglar alarms, flooding conditions, and other weather-related incidents through the combined use of Police, Fire, and Office of Emergency Management Personnel. Special attention should be given to unsecured outdoor furniture, awnings, refuse, and building materials.
